Laguna Bay SUP Race 2011

If you missed out this year plan a date for next year. This would have been one of the most exciting races we have had in Australia with TOP SUP Mens & Ladies taking part in the Laguna Bay SUP Race - as part of the Noosa Festival of Surfing 2011.

With the NFOS in its 20th year what better way to mark our SUP dominance on the long run Long board evert.

Below are a couple of shots from the days event. A big Thanks for Moy from Frangipani Dreams for setting up a drink station with her Frangipani Dream girls. A much needed station at the start of the run leg.

Fangipani Dreams Giving Hope Incorporated delivers Christmas hampers in an expression of unconditional love to the families in the Sunshine Coast community, Blessing people from all walks of life. The elderly, the lonely, people with terminal illnesses, or those experiencing financial and personal hardships. The purpose of this generosity is also to remind us as humans that life isn't just about us. The association has recently expanded it's service to the community by assisting with the fulfillment of a life-long dream or wish for terminally-ill and disadvantaged patients, irrespective of their age.

If you are down on the beach over the week donate to this great cause!

I would say after a great turn out and great race we will see more of these kinds of races in Australia.

There is already plans in place for a Triple Crown Short Course SUP Race run by some of the major Brands in Australia.
